While chairing the meeting of the Anti-Narcotics Council... Dahi Khalfan praises the efforts of the control teams and partners from government and private agencies
H.E Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, Chairman of the Anti-Narcotics Council, praised the great efforts made by all control teams and various committees at the state level, in cooperation with partners from government and private agencies.
This came during His Excellency presiding over the meeting of the Anti-Narcotics Council conference held remotely via telepresence, in the presence of Brig. Gen. Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Drug Control Department, Vice-Chairman of the Council.
During the meeting held remotely, a number of topics on the Council's agenda were reviewed, the most important of which are the measures and actions taken by the concerned authorities in the country regarding bank accounts related to drug trafficking and their return.
The results and statistics of the General Administration of Ports Security (GAPS) in drug cases for the past year were also reviewed
Furthermore, the meeting reviewed the recommendations of the Committee for Monitoring and Reviewing the Tables of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances regarding the misuse of some medical drugs.
The meeting touched on the ongoing preparations to participate in the Dubai International Conference on Drug Issues 2023, which will be held on the sidelines of the World Police Summit next March.
