The Ministry of Interior has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi Energy Services Company, a specialized entity under Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), to step up cooperation aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability in Ministry buildings, thereby optimizing water and electricity consumption. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Ministry Undersecretary, and Khalid Mohamed Al Qubaisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Energy Services Company, signed the memorandum.
Under this agreement, Abu Dhabi Energy Services Company will improve energy efficiency and monitor electricity consumption levels. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili emphasized, "Aligned with the directives of our leadership and UAE's vision emphasizing climate, investment, and advanced technologies, we are committed to proactive innovation to enhance energy sector efficiency and promote resource conservation."
Khalid Mohamed Al Qubaisi added, "This memorandum accelerates the decarbonization of buildings nationwide and advances environmental sustainability, aligning with UAE Net Zero Strategy 2050. Our commitment to leading building rehabilitation aligns with Abu Dhabi's strategy for energy use rationalization, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and yield economic benefits across sectors."
