MOI Takes Part in the 17th Security Media Committee Meeting (2024)

The UAE Ministry of Interior, through the Security Media Department at the General Directorate of Security Support, took part in the 17th meeting of the Security Media Committee (2024) alongside counterparts from GCC member states. This meeting coincided with the workshop "Preparing the GCC Strategy for Combating Drugs (2025-2028)." Key discussions centered around the recommendations assigned to the Security Media Committee and explored new initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of security media in public awareness campaigns. The meeting also focused on enhancing communication mechanisms between the various media departments across the GCC states. Representing the UAE were Lt. Colonel Abdul Muttalib Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director of the Security Media Department, along with Lt. Colonel Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Ketbi, Lt. Colonel Dr. Ali Saeed Al Afari, Head of the Security Media Department, and Major Musab Mohamed Al Tenaiji, Director of the Government Communication Branch.
