Lt.-Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, discussed with Catherine de Bolle, Executive Director of the European Police Agency "Europol", ways to step up cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Europol in police and security fields.
The meeting was held today in Abu Dhabi with De Bolle and the two sides discussed a number of issues related to the development of security cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Europol in areas of information exchange, expertise, training and combating crime in all its forms.
Sheikh Saif also signed with De Bolle an agreement of secondment to have a liaison officer between the UAE Ministry of Interior and the Europol in order to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of law enforcement.
The meeting and the signing of the agreement were attended Lt General Khalifa Hareb al Khaili MOI Undersecretary , Jane Philippe, Deputy Executive Director of Europol, Peter van Osler, Head of Operations at the European Counter-Terrorism Center, Antonio Ortiz - Advisor to the Executive Director and Maj. Mosbeh Al-Saadi, the UAE Police Attach to France, as well as a number of the Ministry of Interior's officers
