His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makoutm, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has approved the "Flag Day" on the Third of November as a national annual occasion to be celebrated by the UAE people and residents concurrently with the celebrations of the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession to the presidency of the UAE.
