Saif bin Zayed witnesses the fifth day of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams

Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, witnessed the competitions of the fifth and final day of the fifth edition of the UAE Tactical Teams Challenge 2024, held at the training city in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, Major General Ali Atiq bin Lahej, Director of the General Administration of Airport Security, Major General Ahmed Atiq Al-Maqoudi, Director of the General Administration of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, representatives of diplomatic and consular bodies, and leaders of tactical teams around the world. .


His Highness was briefed on the progress of the "Obstacle Challenge", which is considered the last of 5 challenges that began last Saturday, as part of the largest event of its kind in the field of work of special units and tactical teams in the world.

His Highness also viewed the high capabilities of the elements participating in the UAE Tactical Teams Challenge competitions, and the levels of professionalism and specialized training reached by these teams and special units to compete in competitions and overcome various challenges.

His Highness met with the leaders of the tactical teams participating in the challenge, in addition to meeting with the Abu Dhabi Police women’s team, which is participating for the first time in the UAE Tactical Teams Challenge, praising the efforts of the team members in competing in the challenge competitions over the course of its five days.

His Highness praised the fifth edition of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams, which is the largest in terms of the number of participating teams, which reached 73 teams from various countries of the world, and witnessed an increase in the level of competition by all teams.

For his part, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri thanked Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, for the great support of all police leadership at the state level and their special units that participated in the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams, and showed advanced levels in terms of professionalism. Competitiveness and readiness.

Dubai Police...the champions

In the results of the last day, the two teams of the Dubai Police General Headquarters took the lead in the overall total of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams 2024, as the Dubai Police B team took first place in the general total by obtaining 325 points, while the Dubai Police A team came in second place. By obtaining 303 points, while the Kazakhstan Sardar team came in third place, obtaining 302 points.

In the steeplechase competitions, the team from Rwanda was able to win first place after obtaining 52 points, while the Kalkan team from Kyrgyzstan came in second place with 51 points, while the third place was won by the Uzbekistan team with 50 points
