Tunisian President Kais Saied welcomed HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, along with Arab Interior Ministers at Carthage Palace as they convened for the 41st session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis.

Sheikh Saif conveyed warm regards from HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, expressing gratitude for the gracious reception, generous hospitality, and steadfast support for the success of the 41st session.

Heading the UAE delegation, the Minister of Interior actively participated in the deliberations of the 41st session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers held in Tunisia.

The session was attended by dignitaries including Ministers of Interior from Arab nations, senior security officials, and representatives from organizations such as the League of Arab States, Interpol, United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and the Arab Police Sports Federation.

Discussions during the session centered on bolstering collective Arab endeavors and coordination in security and law enforcement, focusing on initiatives such as the eleventh Arab security plan, ninth Arab media plan for security awareness and crime prevention, and eighth interim plan for the Arab strategy on traffic safety.

Additionally, the session reviewed the reports of the Council's Secretary-General and the President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, along with recommendations from conferences and meetings held under the General Secretariat's purview in 2023, and outcomes of joint engagements with Arab and international entities during the same period, among other pertinent topics.

HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, commenced his visit to Tunisia, receiving His Excellency Kamal Al-Feki, Tunisian Minister of Interior, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed bin Ali Koman, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, His Excellency Dr. Iman Ahmed Al Salami, UAE Ambassador to Tunisia, and various officials.

The UAE delegation participating in the meetings of the 41st session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia included Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Smart Services and Digital Security at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Rashid Al Khader Al Zaabi, Director General of Legal Affairs at the Ministry, and Brigadier General Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Narcotics Control Department, Brigadier General Dr. Fawaz Khalil Badran, Director General of Security Support at the Ministry of Interior, and a number of officers.
