The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Security Media Department of the General Directorate of Security Support, launched the "Interior Ministry Podcast" community awareness initiative via social media. It is an interactive platform that aims to enhance community awareness and spread the culture of security and public safety in the UAE community.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Muttalib Al Hammadi, Director of the Security Media Department, stated that the launch of the new Ministry of Interior podcast, which will be one episode per month in the first phase, is an important step in line with the UAE’s orientations towards digital transformation and security comprehensiveness as part of the country’s vision. This initiative comes in support of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy, which aims to achieve the highest standards of security and safety for all members of the UAE community, through the use of advanced technology for effective and direct communication with the public. This podcast will provide a platform for us to share developments and updates in the security field that concern the community, review the achievements of the Ministry of Interior, and clarify security policies and procedures in a way that enhances bridges of trust with the public. It also reflects our commitment to enhancing transparency and community participation in all aspects of security work.
The Ministry of Interior podcast will host officials, experts and specialists in various security, traffic, criminal and social fields, to talk about community issues, and in each episode will provide diverse content covering the most important initiatives, awareness campaigns and services launched by the Ministry of Interior, in addition to important topics suggested by the public.
The Ministry of Interior invites the public to follow the Ministry of Interior podcast and interact with it through the Ministry's social media platforms to participate in the efforts to enhance community security to be safer and more aware. The Ministry has allocated the hashtag (#Security_of_our_community_is_our_responsibility_together) for community interaction with the initiative.
The first episode will host Brigadier Ahmed Al-Sam Al-Naqbi, Head of the Traffic Awareness and Safety Team at the Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior, to discuss the results of the national awareness campaign "A Day Without Accidents" and to introduce it, its objectives, the results achieved and its positive societal impacts. It will also discuss future plans, its mechanism, lessons learned, public interaction and the extent to which the initiative contributes to improving the general image of traffic safety.
The Ministry of Interior is keen to launch community initiatives with the aim of enhancing community awareness, achieving strategic goals, improving the quality of life of individuals, enhancing the happiness, well-being, security and protection of society, in addition to involving society in finding effective solutions to various challenges in the areas of safety, prevention and community protection.
