Ministry of Interior celebrates World Quality Day and honors distinguished individuals
Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, attended the Ministry's ceremony organized by the General Department of Strategy and Performance Development, represented by the Quality Department, on the occasion of World Quality Day, which this year came under the slogan "The Journey from Compliance to Performance", in the presence of Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, a number of officers and members of the Ministry of Interior, and representatives of the Ministry's partners.
In his speech at the event, Al Khaili stressed that this occasion confirms that the concepts of quality and excellence have become a tangible reality and a basic requirement for the sustainability of the path of leadership and the advancement of institutions to the highest levels, pointing out that this day is intended to increase global awareness of the important contribution that quality makes to both sustainable development and prosperity at the global level.
He said that the Ministry of Interior celebrates World Quality Day every year in November with countries around the world, which is a moment for the ministry to look at the most important achievements and successes it has achieved and the quality and governance standards to continue the journey with the support of the wise leadership and in accordance with the directives of the UAE government in its quest to enhance its global standing and remain at the forefront of global countries in terms of competitive indicators.
He added that based on the application of the principle of quality as a main slogan in our work and in the way of implementing strategic plans, the ministry seeks to always provide the best for the UAE community, by pushing everyone to achieve more and more in order to rise to the top and maintain a distinguished level.
As part of the ceremony's activities, a lecture was given entitled "The Journey from Compliance to Performance", reviewing the role and importance of applying quality to enhance institutional work to establish the concept of quality and excellence in work and performance.
The Ministry of Interior is keen on this day, which is an opportunity to celebrate the successes and achievements made in the work as a result of the distinguished management of quality, development and progress in performance, and providing the best services to ensure business continuity, keep pace with the latest changes and developments in systems and procedures, and to enhance awareness of the importance of quality management to reach the best global competitive standards in the fields and services.
At the conclusion of the event, Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, honored the distinguished teams from the departments and sectors of the Ministry that obtained the Integrated Administrative System Certificate, second edition, and specialized specifications, and honored the employees who obtained the accredited certificate in internal auditing of quality systems, in addition to honoring the strategic partners who contributed significantly to achieving continuous development and improvement in administrative processes and procedures, which enhanced the quality and efficiency of procedures at the Ministry of Interior.
