Represented by the Directorate General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, the MoI organized an event celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, in the presence of Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and a number of officers. 

The event was also attended by partner representatives from governmental and private entities and the UNODC in the GCC.

 In his speech, Maj. Gen. Al Khaili said that  UAE’s leading path is progressing steadily, driven by the visionary leadership’s wisdom, thus promoting policies and plans to empower individuals in the large spectrum of society. Thanks to her achievements, the Emirati Woman promoted UAE’s civilized progress, her being a vital component of the society, walking hand in hand with her partner, the man. 

The event included speeches and a dialogue session on the efforts of countries of the world to protect women and reject societal violence, as the United Nations devoted this day to talking about efforts to support women and their vital role in society, and to emphasize the importance of understanding, dialogue and family respect.
