A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance and the Federal Narcotics Prosecution team in Abu Dhabi was briefed on the best practices in the Federal Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Abu Dhabi, as part of enhancing partnerships between government entities and agencies.
This came during the visit organized by the Research and Development Center at the Ministry of Interior. Brig. Saeed Ali Lootah, Acting Director General of Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the Ministry of Interior, welcomed the delegation headed by Counselor Tariq Mohamed Mubarak Al Naqbi, Head of the Federal Narcotics Prosecution, and Ahmed Abdullah Al Sharhan Al Nuaimi, Director of Support Services.
The delegation inspected the rooms designated for the video communication with inmates during trial and investigation sessions in the public prosecution offices, the systems used for video communication with inmates in virtual sessions and the mechanism of work. The visiting delegation was also briefed on the methods used to get into contact with establishments regarding the preparation of links for the virtual sessions and communication with courts and prosecutions, in addition to presenting some suggestions that would contribute to better links with the authorities and speeding up the completion of trials. An agreement was made with the delegation on the mechanism for developing joint services rendered with all parties.
