MOI Wins 7 Awards in Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Government Performance 2024

The Ministry of Interior secured seven prestigious awards in the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Government Performance 2024, reflecting its unwavering commitment to achieving strategic goals and sustaining excellence. This accomplishment highlights the Ministry’s vision of strengthening community security and providing top-tier police services in alignment with the UAE’s leadership directives.

The Ministry received the Leading Federal Entity in Sustaining Excellence award in the main institutional categories, alongside recognition as the Best Entity in Adopting Innovative Solutions, Best Entity in Adopting Transformational Thought, and Best Entity in Empowering Youth.

In individual categories, Lieutenant Colonel Saif Khamis Al Mazrouei won the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Specialist, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Reem Sabah Qambar received the Prime Minister’s Medal in Government Communication, and Captain Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Nuaimi was awarded the Prime Minister’s Medal for Youth.

The Ministry of Interior had initially qualified in eight out of ten institutional award categories and for all applicable individual medal categories, demonstrating the exceptional institutional performance and capabilities of its staff.

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to sustaining excellence under the guidance of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with national institutions and strategic partners to ensure sustainable performance driven by innovative policies, forward-looking strategies, and advanced technologies in community security and civil protection.

Brigadier Dr. Faisal Sultan Al Shaibi, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry, highlighted that the awards reflect the fruits of institutional effort and the Ministry’s adherence to the UAE government’s vision of making the nation a global leader in security and safety.

Dr. Al Shaibi noted that the Ministry’s governance, development, training, and evaluation systems enable its sectors to provide innovative, proactive services that enhance the quality of life for UAE residents. He attributed the Ministry’s sustained excellence to its adoption of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, and its preparedness to tackle present and future challenges in civil protection, crime prevention, road safety, and crisis management.
