Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior inaugurated the UAE in the Eyes of Zayed’ Exhibition organized by the Higher Committee for the Year of Zayed Initiatives at the Ministry of Interior. The 10 days exhibition is held at Yas Mall in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Head of the Institutional Development Council and Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Year of Zayed Initiatives at the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier Ali Mohammad Al Shamesi, Director General of the Federal Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department; Brigadier Aref Mohammad Al Shareef from Sharjah Police General Headquarters, and a number of officers from the Ministry of Interior. 

The Undersecretary, accompanied by the Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Year of Zayed Initiatives, toured the exhibition and they were briefed about the exhibits, which included a number of pictures that clarify the role of the Late Sheikh Zayed, his meetings with citizens, and the most prominent achievements of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan which shaped the history of the country. The exhibits also shed light of the humanitarian, social, and philanthropic contributions of the Late Sheikh Zayed, and his endeavors to promote the UAE’s position across all sectors.

The exhibition also included displaying a short film and 3D images using modern techniques to transform old images and display them as new images, illustrating the renaissance and development of the UAE, as well as a studio to take pictures with the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Lt. General Saif Al Sha’far stressed that this exhibition comes as part of the gratitude towards the efforts of the Late Sheikh Zayed, who was the father and the builder of the UAE, a man who gave so much for Arabism and humanity. He noted that no matter what we do for him, we will never be able to give him full credit.

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili said that this event coincides with the Year of Zayed and aims to commemorate the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reflect the approach of the founder and builder of the UAE, and identify important aspects of his life and his values which are deeply rooted in the minds of Emiratis.
