MOI MOBILE UNIT TO DETECT COVID-19 USING POLICE DOGS
As part of its efforts to support front line healthcare staff, the Ministry of Interior has recently introduced a mobile unit of K9 trained police dogs to detect presumed Covid-19 cases. Detection of potential cases is done without direct contact between dogs and individuals.
CRIME ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION
The center of professional development at the MOI General Directorate for capacity building, organized a graduation ceremony for participants in the Crime analysis and prediction pioneer program held at the center. The program is part of efforts to raise policing capabilities of participants.
MOI HOLDS VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON "CYBERCRIMES"
The Ministry of Interior's Office of International Affairs organized a virtual workshop titled "Cybercrimes" in cooperation with the member states of the International Security Alliance, to present major challenges faced by each country. The workshop also aims to help members states benefit from the experiences which other countries in the Alliance have gone through and how they addressed these crimes amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
ADVANCED FIREFIGHTING AND RESCUE COURSE FOR GCC OFFICERS OPENS
Maj. Gen. Dr. Jassim Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense, opened yesterday morning the virtual Advanced Firefighting and Rescue Course for GCC Officers organized by the Civil Defense Academy via video-conference technology. The event was attended by 32 members from the UAE, the KSA, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
UAE TAKES PART IN 2021 EDITION OF ANNUAL SAFETY CONFERENCE IN USA
The Directorate General of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior took part in the Annual Safety Conference 2021 in the United States of America, which is held virtually via video conference technology, as the first Arab state to participate in this conference.
POLICE FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE
Activities of the 2nd Police Firefighter Challenge under the slogan "Excellent .... Policeman.... Sporty" have come to a close. The challenge, organized by the Sports Police Association at the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ajman, aimed to put in place all preventive measures against Covid-19 pandemic.

SMART HELMET TO DETECT POTENTIAL CASES OF COVID-19
Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior approved the smart helmets technology for use by all police force bodies at the countrywide level. This aims to automatically detect possible cases of coronavirus in public places.

The forums aims to unify efforts among government institutions concerned with the protection of society and crime prevention to reduce disturbing societal phenomena in cooperation with all strategic partners and to achieve the vision and objectives of the UAE government.
‘Our Country, Our Responsibility’ Initiative
Under the directives of HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Anti-Narcotics Council launched Our Country, Our Responsibility’, a nationwide initiative targeting society at large. The initiative aims to unify national efforts and programs by leveraging modern technologies and communication channels, to convey the message and effectively reach all segments of society.
The system follows the signing of agreements with strategic partners, including Injazat Data Systems to link commercial buildings and facilities with the smart protection and control systems, and with Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) to connect private residential homes to alarm technologies through photoelectric smoke detectors.
