In line with the UAE government’s designation of 2025 as the Year of Community and in support of efforts to integrate juvenile delinquents and at-risk youth into society, the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the Ministry of Interior organized a specialized workshop titled Hand in Hand for You. Held at the Police Officers Club in Ajman, the event brought together officials, experts from strategic partners, and social and psychological specialists from the Ministry and police general HQs across the country.
Colonel Dr. Saif Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, emphasized that the workshop is a key step in fostering community collaboration to provide these youth with a stable life full of opportunities. He underscored that this initiative supports the integrated system’s efforts and highlights the importance of investing in this group by standing with them, guiding them, and equipping them for a better future. The goal is to pave the way for a promising generation capable of contributing to sustainable development and societal stability.
The workshop examined development plans, programs, and initiatives aimed at supporting juveniles, with specialists addressing key challenges in their rehabilitation both during detention and after release. Discussions centered on strategies to empower juveniles and prevent their recidivism.
The workshop also emphasized the need for ongoing cooperation between relevant governmental and private entities to achieve the goal of reintegrating and rehabilitating this group into society.
