The Ministry of Interior actively participated in the final session of the regional biological security team meetings, which were organized by the Interpol and took place in Lyon, France.

Representatives from the GCC countries, various regional organizations, a number of experts and specialists, and several national institutions, including the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Climate and Environmental Change, Abu Dhabi Police Grneral HQs, Dubai Police General HQs, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority )NCEMA) and the Civil Defense Authority in Abu Dhabi, attended the meetings.

Throughout the meetings, the progress of this global initiative was highlighted, with a specific focus on stepping up cooperation, exchanging experiences, and bolstering efforts to combat and prevent biological terrorism. Emphasis was also placed on strategies to enhance social security and protection.
