MOI Steps Up Preparations for UAE Tour 2026
Through the General Directorate of Traffic Coordination along with its technical and organizational committees and specialized teams, the Ministry of Interior is intensifying its preparations to ensure the success of the UAE Tour 2026, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. The event is recognized as one of the region’s most prestigious international sporting events.
As part of its responsibilities, the Ministry of Interior is tasked with securing the event and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across all stages of the Tour. This includes close coordination with partner entities and relevant authorities, the deployment of police patrols and rapid response units, as well as the establishment of a dedicated operations room to monitor the event around the clock.
A coordination meeting was held at Dubai Police General HQs, chaired by Brigadier Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police and member of the Federal Traffic Council. The meeting reviewed organizational and security measures and approved the formation of joint task forces from police commands across the emirates to ensure efficient implementation.
The Tour route meanders by key tourist and cultural landmarks, showcasing the UAE’s diverse landscapes and projecting a refined cultural image that reinforces its status as a leading global sports destination.
The Ministry stressed that these efforts reflect its commitment to ensuring the safety of athletes and spectators while supporting the success of major sporting events hosted by the country, thereby strengthening its regional and international reputation
