After the success of the UAE Innovation Week over two years in 2015 and 2016, UAE Innovates was announced in 2016, which is the largest national event that celebrates innovation and innovators across the UAE with the aim of contributing to strengthening the country’s position as a global center for innovation and promoting the development of innovative ideas and capabilities, creating a broad culture of innovation, celebrating innovation and innovators throughout the UAE, and supporting the national strategy for advanced innovation.

Every year in February, the MoI participates in the UAE Innovates activities organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation to celebrate innovation and innovators, as the Ministry launches in its activities for 2023 AD a set of activities, competitions and challenges in the field of innovation with the aim of establishing a culture of innovation in the institutional work environment and strengthening the position of the country as a global center for innovation.
