Represented by the Ministry of the Interior, the UAE participates in the celebration of the Arab Traffic Week from May 4 till May 10 every year. The event aims to enhance traffic awareness and introduce rules to improve traffic safety, and to involve the various components of civil society in awareness raising efforts on the dangers of traffic accidents. This year's celebration (2023) will feature the slogan "Your commitment to order... Evidence of your awareness. It stresses the importance of abiding by traffic safety requirements and laws, and to enhance awareness of the need to implement and respect the traffic law and follow its instructions. It also comes as part of stepping up cooperation and partnership between traffic personnel and road users to ensure a safe traffic flow.
