MOI Launches Traffic Safety Campaign for Cyclists

The Ministry of Interior, through the Federal Traffic Council, has launched its first quarterly campaign for 2025 under the slogan Traffic Safety for Cyclists. This campaign aims to promote traffic awareness among bicycle users of all types, emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices to protect lives, preserve property, and reduce accidents and injuries. The initiative also seeks to enhance compliance with traffic laws and instill a culture of responsible road use. The campaign, which runs throughout the first quarter of 2025, is implemented in coordination with federal and local ministries, agencies, and various traffic safety organizations across the UAE. It aims to reach a wide audience by disseminating messages in Arabic, English, and Urdu through diverse social media platforms. Participants are reminded of the importance of adhering to designated bicycle paths, observing speed limits, and ensuring the safety and functionality of their bicycles before riding. Cyclists are encouraged to wear helmets and appropriate safety gear, comply with traffic regulations, and avoid behaviors that could endanger themselves or others.
