Awareness-raising Lecture at the National Academy for Child Development on Children's Rights

The Ministry of Interior's Child Protection Center hosted an awareness-raising lecture at the National Academy for Child Development in Abu Dhabi, engaging students, faculty, and academy staff. The session aimed to enhance societal awareness, emphasize the importance of safeguarding children's rights, and share knowledge on handling cases of child abuse. It also introduced participants to the latest methods and strategies used to address such issues.

The lecture touched on key areas, including an overview of the Child Protection Center's pivotal role in ensuring children's safety and the strategies it employs to combat various forms of abuse. These forms, which could be physical, psychological, or social, were discussed in depth, alongside the essential prevention measures required to protect children effectively.

Additionally, the lecture offered a comprehensive explanation of children's rights as enshrined in relevant laws and legislation. Participants learned about enhancing these rights through an integrated protection policy designed to create a safe and secure environment for every child. Reporting mechanisms for cases of abuse were also outlined, including the hotline (116111), online reporting through the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Center website (www.moi-cpc.gov.ae), email (116111@moi.gov.ae), the Hemayati app, and the emergency contact number (999).
