The Police Shooting Championship, organized by the Police Sports Association at MOI and hosted by the Sharjah Police General HQs, kicked off today at the shooting ranges of the Police Sciences Academy in Al Khdera and will run till the 29th of February. The competition includes 9 teams representing the various MOI departments in its various sectors in addition to a team representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a team from the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The championship was attended by esteemed dignitaries including Brigadier General Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Police Sports Federation; Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khayal, Director of the Police Sports Federation Administration; Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Academy of Police Sciences; Brigadier Khaled Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, President of the Bahraini Police Federation; and Colonel Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashoud, Vice President of the Saudi Police Federation.
The championship features a diverse range of specialized shooting competitions, including tactical motor skills shooting competitions for both men and women, first responder pistol shooting competitions for both genders, a speed challenge competition, and a men's sniper competition.
