MOI Wins “UAE Innovates 2025” Award for Pioneering Smart Examiner Vehicle
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Umm Al Quwain Police , secured the prestigious UAE Innovates 2025 Award for its groundbreaking Smart Examiner Vehicle in the category of Best Innovation in Facilitating Government Procedures at the award’s fifth edition, overseen by the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation.
His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, received the award alongside His Excellency Major General Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Commander-in-Chief of Umm Al Quwain Police, during the closing ceremony at the Museum of the Future Theater in Dubai.
The Smart Examiner Vehicle marks a revolutionary advancement in the UAE’s traffic licensing sector, reducing the time required to obtain a driving license from 3-6 months to just 24 hours. This was made possible through an integrated one-day testing service, consolidating all required driving tests parking, reversing, bridge, and city driving into a seamless process powered by a smart vehicle equipped with cutting-edge technology.
In 2024, the innovation delivered outstanding results, enhancing the customer experience with a 96% satisfaction rate and achieving 99% in customer experience metrics. It also boosted smart inspection efficiency by 43.38%, significantly improving service quality. Additionally, the project increased test success rates by 16%, underscoring the system’s accuracy and effectiveness in candidate evaluations.
Beyond its operational impact, the Smart Examiner Vehicle made remarkable strides in environmental sustainability, slashing carbon emissions by 99% at the technical inspection center. This achievement aligns with the vision of the Umm Al Quwain Police to drive sustainable innovation through digital transformation in government services.
