Ministry of Interior Ramadan Sports Events Organized by the Police Sports Federation
The Police Sports Federation organized the Ministry of Interior's Ramadan events at the Police College in Abu Dhabi, which will run from March 10-19. The event features a wide range of participation from sports teams representing the police general commands and the ministry's various sectors and departments.
The launch of the events was attended by Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khayal, Director of the Police Sports Federation Department; Colonel Jassim Mohammed Ali, Deputy Director of the Federation Department; Colonel Sultan Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Police Sports Education Center; Colonel Mohammed Nasser Al Eisaei, Deputy Director of the Police Sports Education Center; and Major Mohammed Ahmed Hamdoun, Director of the Dubai Police Football Teams. A number of officers were also in attendance.
This year's sporting events include a series of distinguished tournaments, including seven-a-side football and volleyball tournaments, in addition to tug-of-war competitions, and running and walking tournaments. These events aim to hone the physical skills and sportsmanship of participants and provide a healthy and ideal environment for all teams.
Brigadier Al Khayal emphasized that these championships are part of the Police Sports Federation's commitment to promoting sporting activities during the holy month of Ramadan, with the goal of encouraging ministry personnel to maintain their physical fitness and develop a well-rounded police personality. He noted that these activities are held in an atmosphere of fair competition between participating teams, which enhances sportsmanship, cooperation, and discipline, directly impacting security performance and exceptional readiness to serve the community with utmost professionalism.
