MOI Wraps Up Ramadan Activities 2025
The Ministry of Interior’s Ramadan Activities 2025 came to a successful close at the Police College grounds in Abu Dhabi. Organized by the Police Sports Association, the 10-day event brought together teams from various sectors and departments of the Ministry of Interior and General Police HQs, fostering a competitive spirit while enhancing physical fitness, health, and operational readiness among police personnel.
The closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior; Brigadier Walid Salem Al Shamsi, Commander of the Police College; and Brigadier Dr. Omar Al Khayal, Director of the Police Sports Association Department, along with several officers from across the Ministry of Interior and General Police HQs.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, winners of the first three places across all competitions were honored. The tournaments featured a range of events, including men’s seven-a-side football and volleyball, men’s 3.2 km running and 2.5 km walking races, women’s 1.5 km running and 2 km walking races, and a tug-of-war championship.
In the football sevens, the General Department of the State Security Apparatus in Dubai won first place, the Dubai Police General HQs team won second place, and the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team came in third. In the volleyball championship, the Dubai Police General HQs team won first place, the Dubai Police General HQs team came in second place, and the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team came in third. In the tug-of-war championship, the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team won first place, the Dubai Police General HQs team won second place, and the Dubai Police General HQs team came in third. The Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team won first and third place in the men’s running championship for a distance of 3.2 km, while the Fujairah Police General HQs team won second place. The Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team won first and third place in the men’s walking championship for a distance of 2.5 km, and the Police College won second place. In the women’s 1.5 km running competition, the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team came in first place, while the Dubai Police General HQs team came in second and third place. In the women’s 2 km walking competition, the Undersecretary’s Office team came in first and third place, and the Police College team came in second place.
