Aqdar Rolls Out Comprehensive Health Initiative in Celebration of World Health Day
The Khalifa Empowerment Program Aqdar launched an inclusive health initiative under the theme Comprehensive Health for an Integrated Society to commemorate World Health Day. Held over two consecutive days in the courtyard of the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the event aimed to raise public health awareness and promote preventive care as a fundamental lifestyle practice.
The opening ceremony was graced by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, who toured the event and explored the wide range of health and educational services provided.
The initiative featured a rich offering of health, sports, and nutritional services. Free medical screenings and consultations were provided by a team of expert doctors and specialists in public health, nutrition, and physical fitness. In addition, the event hosted healthy restaurants offering balanced meals and sports clubs showcasing fitness programs all with the goal of encouraging Ministry employees to embrace a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.
The initiative concluded with a recognition ceremony led by Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Khalifa Empowerment Program Aqdar. He honored the Ministry’s departments, participating entities, and partners for their valuable contributions to the initiative’s success, commending their collaborative efforts in advancing health and community well-being.
Mohammed Ismail Al Harmoudi, CEO of the Khalifa Empowerment Program Aqdar, noted that the initiative coincided with World Health Day and reflects the spirit of the Year of Community. It aims to cultivate a culture of holistic wellness, empower individuals to adopt healthy behaviors, and raise awareness on the importance of early detection, balanced nutrition, and consistent physical activity to enhance overall quality of life.
