Thrilling Contests at the Police Martial Arts Championship
The Police Sports Association, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs, organized the sixth edition of the Police Mixed Martial Arts Championship. The event was hosted at Habib Gym in Abu Dhabi, featuring intense competition among 73 male and female athletes representing various sectors of the Ministry of Interior and the UAE’s police general HQs.
The championship drew the presence of several distinguished attendees, including Brigadier General Mohammed Hussein Al Khouri, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Police Sports Council;; Colonel Jassim Mohammed Ali, Deputy Director of the Police Sports Association;
Colonel Sultan Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Police Sports Education Center at the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs and Mr. Fouad Darwish, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palms Sports Company. They were joined by members of the Police Sports Association's Board of Directors and prominent police officials.
In the men’s category, the Dubai Police General HQs team clinched first place, followed by the Ministry of Interior team in second, and the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs team in third. In the women’s category, the Dubai Police General HQs team once again secured first place, while the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs claimed second, and the Ministry of Interior team finished third.
The tournament concluded with a ceremonial honoring of the champions, where gold medals, trophies, and commemorative shields were presented to the winners and participating teams in celebration of their outstanding performances.
