MOI Participates in Arab Traffic Week 2025 Celebrations
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Federal Traffic Council, is participating in the celebrations of Arab Traffic Week, which this year is held under the theme Slow Down Life Ahead. The event will take place from May 4 to 10.
The Ministry’s participation in this unified Arab Traffic Week reflects its ongoing efforts to raise awareness among drivers and road users regarding traffic safety, and to reinforce the culture of responsibility by encouraging compliance with traffic laws and regulations. Activities are being organized both at the Ministry of Interior and across the nation’s General Police HQs, and include educational lectures, the distribution of brochures and awareness posters concerning traffic laws and safety rules, as well as the dissemination of awareness messages via social media platforms.
Arab Traffic Week is an initiative launched by the Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, through the Arab Office for Security Awareness, Media and Human Rights. The initiative underscores the importance of drivers and road users adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and safety guidelines, and highlights the necessity of identifying effective solutions to the challenges of traffic safety and reducing the incidence of road accidents, which often result in severe human and material losses.
