MOI Organizes 1st Social Support Forum

The Ministry of Interior held the inaugural social support forum titled "Family Safety: Happiness and Stability," emphasizing the pivotal role of families in bolstering community security and providing a nurturing environment for children's wholesome development, enriching their skills, and instilling positive values and behaviors.
Led by HE Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Brigadier Sultan Buataba Al Zaabi, Director General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, along with various officers, the event, organized by the Social Support Department of the General Administration for Community Protection and Crime Prevention, witnessed participation from esteemed local experts and specialists. Three main topics took center stage: security and legal endeavors to fortify family safety, the role of social and educational institutions, and the promotion of family cohesion within society.

Colonel Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Subayan Al Tenaiji, Director of the Federal Social Support Department, shed light on the significant role of social support centers within the Ministry of Interior. Major Khaled Al Kaabi, Director of the Ministry of Interior’s Center for Child Protection, elaborated on the Ministry's initiatives to safeguard children, while Counselor Alia Al Kaabi, Head of the Family Prosecution at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, delved into legal protections for families.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Hammadi, Director of the Family Cohesion Department at the Community Development Authority, highlighted the contribution of social institutions to family objectives. Dr. Moza Salem Al Neyadi discussed the importance of social awareness in fostering stable families, while Dr. Khawla Al Takhaina from Al Ain University presented a working paper titled "Towards an Educated and Conscious Family" on the role of educational institutions. Media personality Samiha Al Kaabi (Umm Salem), known for her program "Sawalif Yadoh," also contributed, alongside Emirati Parliament members for Children, Fatima Al Uqaili and Khaled Al Hammadi.
The forum aimed to bolster family security and cohesion, foster societal intelligence and innovation, and familiarize attendees with government services offered by the Ministry of Interior and affiliated agencies, simplifying access to these resources. The event drew a diverse audience, including Ministry of Interior employees, social and psychological specialists from support centers, social service providers, and university students specializing in psychology and social sciences.

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili concluded the forum by honoring partners, supporters, lecturers, and directors of social support at the police general command, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the event's success and recognizing their ongoing dedication.
