MoU between MOI and the Advanced Technology Research Council on Cooperation in Developing Innovative Projects
The Ministry of Interior has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding with the Advanced Technology Research Council, with the objective of bolstering collaboration in the domains of innovation and the advancement of projects underpinned by cutting-edge scientific and technological methodologies.
The Memorandum was executed on behalf of the Ministry of Interior by H.E. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and on behalf of the Advanced Technology Research Council by H.E. Shehab Issa Abu Shehab, Director General of the Council.
This MoU aims to deepen synergies between national institutions and entities in the areas of research, innovation, and project development. It reinforces efforts to cultivate a culture of innovation and to devise sustainable, impactful solutions to both present and future challenges across the fields of security, public safety, community protection, security and traffic systems, and mobility frameworks. These objectives are to be achieved through the integration and deployment of AI technologies tailored to meet the evolving demands of the police and security sectors.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Al Khamiri, Executive Director of the Advanced Technology Research Council; Zayed Al Nuaimi, Specialist for Security and Defense Sector Projects at the Council; Mahra Al Shamsi, Senior Specialist for Strategic Partnerships; and Sarah Al Ameri, Director of External Communications at the Council.
