Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met today in Abu Dhabi with HE Joachim Herrmann, Minister of Interior, Sports, and Integration for the German state of Bavaria, along with his accompanying delegation.
During their meeting, Sheikh Saif and the guest minister discussed various issues aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. They explored ways to collaborate in combating crime, enhancing security, and exchanging experiences and knowledge in these areas.
The meeting was attended by HE Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Narcotics Control Department at the Ministry of Interior; and several other officers. On the German side, attendees included HE Alexander Sch nfelder, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UAE; Gunnar Wiegand, Director of the Planning, Communication, and Strategic Affairs Department; Florian Steinmetz, Head of the Department of Extremism and Foreign Extremist Organizations; Dr. Otto Wiesha, President of the German-Arab Friendship Society; Hussam Maarouf, Vice-President of the German-Arab Friendship Society; and several other German government officials.
