Police Chiefs Council Discusses Policies Implemented by MOI
H.E. Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Police Chiefs Council, presided over the Council’s fourth meeting for the current year (2025). The meeting, convened remotely, was attended by police chiefs, senior officers, and officials from the Ministry of Interior. The Council reviewed several key items on its agenda and issued the necessary decisions.
The Council examined the findings of the committee assigned to study procedures and legislation related to crimes and violations across various categories, as well as statistics concerning the number of perpetrators.
Additionally, the Council reviewed the Ministry of Interior’s most prominent services provided within the UAE, totaling over (100) services. These include traffic-related services such as vehicle and driver licensing, traffic regulation and patrols, criminal services, initiatives promoting a culture of respect for the law, and various other offerings.
A report was also reviewed regarding the assessment of the overall security landscape and its role in furnishing decision-makers with strategic insights. The report supports the identification of security priorities and enhances coordination among relevant entities in emergency scenarios.
Moreover, the Council discussed a range of policies implemented by the Ministry of Interior, including the Ministry’s policy on military defense skills. The Council further addressed additional agenda items and adopted the necessary decisions and recommendations accordingly.
