Under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, the Drug Prevention Forum was inaugurated by HE Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and Chairman of the State Drug Control Council. The forum, held at the Zahia City Center in Sharjah, was organized by the General Directorate for Drug Control at the Ministry of the Interior, in collaboration with the Sharjah Police General HQs.

This event is part of the "Join Us to Stop It" campaign, which aims to combat drug promotion through phone messages and raise awareness about the dangers of drugs among community members.

The opening ceremony of the forum, scheduled to run for 10 days, was graced by the presence of Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Head of the Executive Office of the Drug Control Council, and several high-ranking officers and officials.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim inspected the educational workshops and artificial intelligence laboratories accompanying the forum, where he was briefed on the content of the posts and presentations included in these workshops.

He praised this initiative, stressing that the slogan "Join us to stop it" launched by His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, is a slogan that comes at the right time.

The forum includes workshops and discussion sessions with a total of (28) sessions per day, targeting all age groups of society, especially students and adolescents, and includes topics related to drug prevention methods, warning against electronic means of promotion, increasing family control over children, and raising the level of culture and awareness.
