MOI's Child Protection Centre Organizes Training Workshop for New Teachers
The Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre conducted a training workshop for new teachers as part of an introductory meeting organized by the Ministry of Education at the Emirates Schools Establishment headquarters in Abu Dhabi. This workshop was designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools necessary to create a safe and healthy educational environment in line with best practices and standards. The session covered various critical topics, including an overview of the Child Rights Law - Wadima, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the Child Protection Centre. It addressed mechanisms for reporting abuse, the teacher's role in preventing and addressing abuse, cyberbullying, exploitation, and online luring. The workshop also emphasized children’s right to play safely and appropriately and provided guidance on managing behavior during play. Additionally, the workshop familiarized teachers with the Ministry of Interior’s integrated reporting system, which offers four reporting channels: the hotline at 116111, electronic reporting via the Ministry’s website (www.moi-cpc.gov.ae), the email address 116111@moi.gov.ae, and the "Hamayati" app for smart devices.
