UN Police Chiefs' Performance in Peacekeeping Operations Workshop Concludes in Abu Dhabi

The UAE Ministry of Interior hosted the third
UN Police Chiefs' Performance in Peacekeeping Operations Workshop in Abu Dhabi, where United Nations officials and participants discussed strategies to enhance global security by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of UN police forces.
The workshop focused on performance evaluation and management, especially in the context of international conflicts. Participants expressed their gratitude to the UAE for hosting the event and for its ongoing support of international cooperation efforts. On the sidelines of the workshop, the Ministry of Interior presented a session on the successful international operation "Green Justice," which highlighted the importance of global collaboration.
Led by the UAE and coordinated with the International Law Enforcement Initiative for Climate (I2LEC), the operation uncovered large-scale environmental crimes in the Amazon region. Law enforcement agencies from Brazil, Peru, Colombia, as well as the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the Ecosystem Research Institute, were key participants. Discussions during the workshop covered a wide range of topics, including the performance of police duties, the role of the UN Police in promoting international peace and security, ways to enhance police performance in global conflicts, future frameworks for international policing, and how to address challenges through institutional performance development and measurable indicators.
