UAE Takes Part in International Civil Defence Organization Meetings
Major General Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior, led the UAE delegation at the 57th session of the Executive Council of the International Civil Defence Organization and the 26th session of its General Assembly, held in Cairo, Egypt.
The meetings convened over 60 delegates from 24 member states, focusing on strategies to strengthen civil protection, prevention measures, and capacity-building. Delegates explored ways to foster collaborative efforts, share expertise, and exchange best practices in civil defence on a global scale.
Key discussions also addressed enhancing the organization’s impact by developing strategies and operational frameworks that encourage unified efforts among member states. This approach aims to tackle growing challenges in civil protection and devise effective responses to disasters and emergencies.
