MOI Hosts “Human Rights Standards” Awareness Council in Abu Dhabi
The Ministry of Interior’s Office for the Culture of Respect for Law organized an awareness council titled Human Rights Standards in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Councils, within the Office of Citizens and Community Affairs at the Presidential Court.
The event, hosted at the Mohammed Al Ajer Al Rumaithi Council in Al Samha, Abu Dhabi, tackled vital community issues aimed at enhancing safety and security. Key speakers included Major Saif Adran, Director of the Social Support Center in Umm Al Quwain, who discussed the essential rights individuals owe their families beyond basic needs. He emphasized the importance of active parental involvement in children’s lives, warning of the risks posed by external influences and social media when children are left unsupervised. Additionally, Major Ali Al Abdouli from the Juvenile Foundation at the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention highlighted the value of instilling Emirati customs in children from an early age. He underscored how these traditions shape character and strengthen resilience, helping children stay grounded in authentic Emirati values amidst external cultural influences.
