In collaboration with the French Interior Ministry, the Joint Center of Excellence, comprising the Ministries of the Interior of the UAE and France, organized a virtual workshop. The event focused on issues related to crimes linked to climate change, offering insights on effective countermeasures. International experts presented various working papers during the workshop, shedding light on the forms and patterns of environmental crimes.

The discussions also highlighted the crucial role of law enforcement forces in combating these crimes. Additionally, the workshop covered specialized topics, such as the illegal trade in protected species, waste trade, international measures, marine pollution management, and support for the fight against environmental crime.
