MOI Rolls Out Campaign for International Volunteer Day
The Ministry of Interior, represented by its Public Relations Department and in collaboration with the Emirates Volunteers Platform, launched an awareness-raising campaign titled Cooperate in Virtuous Conduct to mark International Volunteer Day. The event saw participation from senior officers, including Brigadier Sultan Bouataba Al Zaabi, Director General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, alongside police leaders, officers, members of the Emirates Volunteers Platform, and candidates from the Police College.
Held across all police leadership levels, the campaign aimed to highlight the significance of volunteer work in fostering a connected, harmonious society. It sought to embed volunteering as a lifestyle that addresses societal challenges, meets diverse needs, and reinforces positive human values. The initiative also underscored the Ministry’s commitment to promoting and developing volunteer programs by unifying efforts with partners to achieve national and community goals.
During the event, Colonel Adel Al Samri, Director of the Civil Defense Academy, delivered a keynote speech on the principles, challenges, and opportunities in volunteer work. He emphasized its role in improving quality of life, enhancing social communication, and sustaining community programs to serve all segments of society effectively.
The Ministry lauded the active participation of individuals and organizations in the campaign, urging continued volunteer efforts as a strategic tool for sustainable development and fostering values of cooperation and giving within the community.
