“Women’s Police” Hosts Educational Workshops as Part of Cyber Pulse Initiative
The Ministry of Interior, through the Women’s Police Council, organized two educational workshops titled Cyber Awareness and Fraud Prevention as part of the second phase of the Cyber Pulse Initiative for Women and Family. This initiative, rolled out by the General Women’s Union in collaboration with the Aqdar Program and the Cyber Security Council, aims to empower Emirati women in the field of cybersecurity and enhance their skills to become integral members of specialized teams protecting the digital space from growing threats.
The workshops were led by Lieutenant Colonel Ala Abdel Aziz, Head of the Volunteer Team at the Women’s Police Council. They covered essential topics in cybersecurity that affect all segments of society, including understanding cyberattacks and their types, online gaming, virtual reality, and measures to prevent electronic fraud. Additionally, the workshops highlighted best practices for safeguarding privacy and protecting personal data in the digital world.
Lieutenant Colonel Ala also presented educational videos detailing safe internet use and the responsible handling of modern technologies. The sessions included a review of cybersecurity laws in the UAE, outlining the types of cybercrimes and providing information on reporting channels and methods.
