The follow-up committee for the implementation of light air sports system organized a workshop on the dangers of drones and the laws regulating them in Fazaa pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The workshop comes as part of the The Responsibility is Yours Campaign aiming to raise awareness on the requirements and laws regulating light sports.

The workshop reviewed the laws enacted by the concerned authorities regarding drones and gave introduction on their legislations, the controls and conditions for issuing trade licenses for the import and sale of light sports aircraft and RC airplanes.

The workshop also tackled the mechanism for issuing this type of licenses or initial approvals, in addition to addressing the role of inspection, oversight, as well as a presentation on judicial enforcement, penalties, articles of the federal law on civil aviation, the conditions for granting permits, public safety requirements, and ways to prevent the negative impact of light aircraft.
