MOI Celebrates Emirati Children’s Day with Vibrant Activities at Dubai’s Global Village
The Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Center, in collaboration with the Dubai Police General HQs and the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, organized a special celebration at the Heritage Village within Dubai’s Global Village to mark Emirati Children’s Day.
The event commenced with the UAE national anthem and featured a diverse program, including partner speeches, a performance by the Dubai Police Children’s Music Band, participation by Safety Ambassadors, a panel discussion titled The Role of the Family in Child Protection, children’s competitions, and a ceremony honoring partners.
Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Drug Control Department at the Ministry of Interior, highlighted the significance of the occasion in his speech: On this blessed Ramadan evening, we come together to celebrate Emirati Children’s Day an occasion that reflects the UAE’s unwavering commitment, under its wise leadership, to placing children at the forefront of its priorities, ensuring their safety, and shaping their promising future.
He emphasized that, in line with this vision, the Ministry of Interior operates within an integrated framework to enhance child protection, fostering a secure and nurturing environment that supports their holistic development. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to continued collaboration with relevant entities to safeguard children’s rights and wellbeing. The UAE stands as a global model in child protection, setting a benchmark for excellence in ensuring children’s safety and rights.
The panel discussion, which was held within the ceremony and was moderated by Fahad Heikal, Major Rashid Nasser Al Ali, Head of the Child Protection Department, at the Department of Child and Women's Rights Protection at the General Directorate of Human Rights in Dubai Police, and Shama Al Balushi from the Ministry of Interior's Center for Child Protection, and Anoud Al Balushi, Director of Events Department at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Revival Center. The UAE's vision in these areas, in addition to addressing and reviewing a number of UAE pioneering initiatives in the fields of child protection and its projects that promote a safe community and digital environment and the role of the family in protecting the child according to a shared responsibility.
