The Committee for Combating Online Child Sexual Exploitation Holds Its 3rd Meeting of 2025
The Committee for Combating Online Child Sexual Exploitation convened its third meeting of 2025 at the Ministry of Interior headquarters, with participation from police leaderships and directors of the ministry’s central departments.
During the session, participants reviewed the Ministry of Interior’s and police leadership’s ongoing efforts to protect children from sexual exploitation on social media and electronic gaming platforms. The meeting also evaluated the progress of initiatives under the National Strategy for Child Protection Online.
Discussions further addressed coordination mechanisms among relevant authorities to strengthen the prevention of and response to such crimes. Key plans and programs focused on raising community awareness and enhancing the capabilities of specialized personnel were also examined.
As the meeting was wrapping up, the committee stressed the importance of continued joint efforts and the integration of responsibilities to ensure a safe environment for children, safeguarding them from all forms of abuse and exploitation.
