The authorities are committed to refining their emergency response through scientific planning and execution. This exercise plays a pivotal role in the periodic review of the Indian Ocean tsunami warning system, ensuring timely warnings, increasing community awareness, and fostering regional cooperation. It also involves evaluating system performance and making essential enhancements for sustained efficiency.
The Ministry of Interior, the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the National Center of Meteorology, in partnership with UNESCO, are participating in the exercise, which will be held in the Rugaylat area in Fujairah on Wednesday, October 11th.
