Police Sports Association Crowns Winners of the Police Road Race Championship
The Police Sports Association celebrated the winners of the 45th Men’s Police Road Race Championship and the inaugural Women’s Police Road Race Championship, held along Al-Qurm Walk in Ajman. The event was organized in cooperation with the Ajman Police General HQs and the UAE Athletics Federation, with the participation of 95 male and female athletes representing various sectors of the Ministry of Interior and police general HQs across the UAE.
In the team results, the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs secured first place in both the men’s and women’s categories. The Fujairah Police General HQs came in second, followed by the Dubai Police General HQs in third for the men’s competition. In the women’s race, Dubai Police earned second place, while the Sharjah Police General HQs took third.
The championship was attended by HE Brigadier Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, HE Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khayal, Director of the Police Sports Association and Chairman of the Sports Committee at the Ministry of Interior, along with a number of senior officers and officials.
Brigadier Dr. Omar Al Khayal commended the tournament’s excellent organization and technical standards, highlighting that it reflects the Police Sports Association’s commitment to promoting a culture of sports and fitness among Ministry of Interior personnel. He emphasized that such events strengthen officers’ physical readiness, teamwork, and overall morale, and expressed his appreciation to the organizing and supporting entities for their efforts in ensuring the championship’s success.
As the races drew to a close, Brigadier Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi honored the winners, top finishers, sponsors, and contributors to the championship’s success in a vibrant sporting atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and fair competitive sportsmanship.
