10th Police Fitness and Challenge Championship Wraps Up

The tenth edition of the Police Fitness and Challenge Championship, organized by the Police Sports Association, concluded today. The championship featured elite, men’s, and women’s categories and was held at the General HQs of Ras Al Khaimah Police from November 25 to 28.

The event saw the participation of 124 competitors from police commands across the UAE, as well as teams from the Special Security Forces and Civil Defense. Contestants competed in a series of physically demanding challenges, including speed and fitness races, weight and strength contests, rowing events, and the CrossFit challenge, testing their endurance, strength, and mental agility.

In the elite category, the General HQs of Abu Dhabi Police secured first place, followed by the General HQs of Dubai Police in second and the General HQs of Ras Al Khaimah Police in third.

For the men’s category, the General HQs of Abu Dhabi Police again claimed victory, with the General HQs of Dubai Police taking second, and the Civil Defense Team (A) in third.

In the women’s category, the General HQs of Dubai Police took the top spot, with the General HQs of Abu Dhabi Police in second and the General HQs of Ras Al Khaimah Police in third.

Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khayal praised the success of the tournament, highlighting the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to sports, healthy living, and the physical and mental development of its members. He emphasized that such events enhance readiness, performance, and efficiency, contributing to the Ministry’s strategic goals of improving security, safety, and community happiness.

He also commended the exceptional performance and sportsmanship displayed by the participating teams and congratulated the winners, wishing the other participants better luck in future events. Additionally, he lauded the efforts of the organizers for ensuring the tournament’s success.

At the closing ceremony, the winners were honored with medals, trophies, and commemorative shields, while the efforts of the organizers and participating teams were recognized in appreciation of their contributions.
