The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (Al Dhafra Department) executed a drill on evacuation, firefighting and rescue with the participation of civil defense staff in Al Dhafra, using the mobile vehicle for training firemen that was recently added to the civil defense fleet. The drill aimed to promote training methods, qualify human resources and provide civil defense centers with advanced equipment that will strengthen prevention efforts in the face of risks and challenges.
The training was attended by Brigadier General Mohammed Mayouf Al Ketbi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, Colonel Moaz Mohammed Al Derbi, Director of Civil Defense Department, Al Dhafra Region and a number of officers.
The training comes within the framework of supporting the development efforts to improve the professional performance of human cadres in the civil defense to achieve strategic objectives in the field of planning, training and fire management, to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of cooperation between the trainees, and enhance the preparations of firefighters to ensure the readiness to deal with any emergency. The exercises included the application of a number of scenarios for a variety of fires to develop the level of firefighters in firefighting such as storming from the surface, and fires leaking gas from the joints, and house fires.
The new mobile firefighter training mechanism is the first mini mobile training academy in the Middle East, where training of firefighters can be conducted anywhere, for easy mobility and high-quality safety and control systems.
