UN Police Job-Specific Instructor Certified Course wraps up
The United Nations Police Job-Specific Instructor Certified Course, focusing on United Nations police operations, concluded today in Abu Dhabi, hosted by the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates.
Spanning 20 consecutive days, the course welcomed 24 trainees from 20 countries, including 4 members from the UAE Ministry of Interior. Topics covered included community policing, monitoring, guidance, and capacity building for law enforcement.
The course featured presentations from 12 experts and specialists hailing from various countries. Such global training initiatives play a crucial role in enhancing the skills of law enforcement professionals worldwide, fostering cooperation, and facilitating the exchange of international best practices. They leverage successful global experiences to advance police work effectively.
The Ministry of Interior remains committed to shoring up international collaboration by actively participating in, hosting, endorsing, and supporting events that contribute to global security and peace efforts. Previously hosting a workshop on United Nations police commanders' performance in peacekeeping operations for two years (2022/2023), the Ministry will continue this tradition by hosting it again in 2024.
