Yesterday evening marked the commencement of the sixth edition of the Police College Commander’s Championship competitions, held at the sports field of the college’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Brigadier Walid Al Shamsi, Commander of the Police College, attended the event alongside several department directors and esteemed faculty members. Scheduled to run until March 21, the tournament features a variety of competitions, including volleyball, football, tug of war, fitness challenges, archery, walking, and running. Teams representing both students and administrative faculty of the college are actively taking part. In his address, Al Shamsi urged all participants to show dedication and sportsmanship, emblematic of the values upheld by the Police College. He stressed the college's commitment to organizing such sporting events, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and healthy competition, particularly during Ramadan. He further emphasized the importance of promoting physical fitness practices that contribute positively to overall health, readiness, and physical preparedness among the college community.
