MOI Council in the Western Region Focuses on Enhancing Fishermen's Safety and Prevention Measures

As part of ongoing community initiatives aimed at promoting security, safety, and preventive practices across society, the Ministry of Interior's Office of the Culture of Respect for the Law, in collaboration with the Citizens and Community Affairs Office, held an educational session to raise awareness on "Precautionary Measures for Fishermen's Safety." The session took place at the Al Falahi Al Yasi Council in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi.

Major Fares Al Darai from the Ministry of Interior's Department of Cases Affairs led the discussion, which was specifically aimed at fishermen's associations operating in the port. He outlined essential marine safety and prevention requirements, emphasized the importance of legal awareness regarding regulations and guidelines, and highlighted the need for scientific knowledge in rescue and first aid techniques. He also discussed the critical necessity of equipping fishing vessels with proper safety and security gear, and addressed other relevant safety topics.
